The Ultimate Book Show with Sihle-isipho Nontshokweni is a visual exploration of the world’s literary cities, unearthing the stories behind the novels, biographies, the lyrical, visual art, movements, scholarship, interested in the thought elements of the writers who inhabit them.
The Wound (2018), Oscar-shortlisted feature film, co-authored with Thando Mgqolozana, also won the SAFTA Golden Horn, Best Achievement in Scriptwriting (Feature Film), and Best Screenplay (Jury Prize) at the Madrid International LGBT Film Festival.
John Trengove's iBhokhwe, a partial adaptation of Thando Mgqolozana's A Man Who is Not a Man, won Best Short Film and Best Director of a Short Film at IMSFF. Inspired by Mgqolozana's book, Trengove created the film while researching Xhosa initiations and circumcision.
